The Coal Fields Regional Industrial Park is a partnership of the Kentucky River District counties of Perry, Leslie, Knott, Breathitt and Harlan. Located 10.7 miles northwest of Hazard in Perry County, the park consists of over 385 acres. Hazard serves as the center for education, communication and healthcare for the area and surrounding counties. Hazard Community and Technical College main campus is in Hazard. Bachelors and Master degree programs are offered through the University Center of the Mountains, located on the Community College campus. The Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) Medical Center is also located in Hazard, offering excellent medical staff and health care service providers. ARH is the largest provider of care and single largest employer in southeastern Kentucky and the third largest private employer in southern West Virginia.
